The Randstad Award rewards the most attractive employers in Belgium.

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has for the third time won the title of most attractive private employer in Belgium following the 14e edition of the Randstad Award. In the non-commercial category, it was the University of Namur that achieved first place.

These prizes were awarded after a survey was conducted among 15 ,00 people in order to understand why they would choose to work for one organisation over another  The Randstad Award includes all major private employers with more than 1,000 employees, as well as about thirty public services.

 "No less than 58% of the people questioned that knew GSK would be happy or very happy to work there. The company, which already won the Award in 2004 and 2008, had the highest score in the history of the Randstad Award", highlighted recruitment agency Randstad.

Pfizer, another pharmaceutical company, Jan. De Nul. Janssen Pharmaceutica and Coca-Cola completed the top five most attractive private employers. The RTBF entered the top ten in this classification by winning tenth place.

In terms of the non-commercial sector, the University of Namur was followed by Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, the University of Liège, Saint-Louis University and UCL.

This year, two businesses received a special Award. Colruyt won the Outperformer Award that rewards the company that posts the best attractiveness score compared to the sector average. It was followed by Thomas Cook, Solvay, G4S and Bayer. Finally, Audi Brussels received the Challenger Award, beating D'Ieteren, Brussels Airlines, Center Parks and Colruyt in its category.
