Cloud: Win and Dimension Data invest 7 million euros

Win and Dimension Data Belgium are joining forces to offer a new cloud-based data storage solution to their customers. This project should generate over one hundred jobs by 2017.

The companies Win (a subsidiary of Nethys) and Dimension Data Belgium (a subsidiary of the Japanese group NTT) are joining forces to offer a new cloud-based data storage solution to their customers called "Win cloud one".

This new solution will mean the customers of both companies will no longer have to buy servers to store their data and will therefore allow them to reduce their infrastructure costs as they will only pay for the capacity that they use.

The new facilities will be developed in the Wallonia Data Centre (in Villers le Bouillet), owned by Win since 2013. The investment is valued at 7 million euros, also financed by the two companies.

Win also intends to increase its workforce. The company employs 130 people and posted a turnover of 40 million euros in 2015.
