The device produced by Cefaly Technology is the world's very first external cranial neurostimulation device for the treatment and prevention of migraines.

An independent international study recommends Cefaly as the first therapeutic choice in the treatment of migraines. The device produced by the Walloon company Cefaly Technology, developed in 2009, is the world's very first external cranial neurostimulation device for the treatment and prevention of migraines. It would be effective in 81% of cases.

Since January 2014, Cefaly Technology already benefited from an international scientific recognition, which was boosted by the approval of their device, granted in March 2014 by the very strict American FDA.

The reference international scientific review The Journal of Headache and Pain recently published a study showing a reduction in the frequency of migraines but also their intensity for 4 in 5 patients suffering from frequent episodic migraines without aura.

The previous studies published in 2014 focused only on prevention.

This new study, the results of which have just been published, was carried out between January 2013 and October 2014 by Dr Antonio Russo and Professor Alessandro Tessitore with the Headache Centre, Department of Medical, Surgical, Neurological, Metabolic and Ageing Sciences of the University of Naples.
